Can i get my phone repaired on my friends insurance

My friend and I both have the same phone. Mine was recently dropped and it has broken and i have no insurance but my friend does.

How likely is it that if he says his phone is broken and we send mine off for repair that they will be able to tell it is not the exact model he purchased.

Do you think they will check?

They'll know the difference because your friend's insurance knows the IMEI of his device. I wouldn't recommend it. Your friend would be committing insurance fraud.

Hello, thank you for your response.

Well that's unfortunate but obviously understandable and my fault for not buying insurance.

Fixing a broken LCD on a HTC One Mini seems so expensive, especially since I have to send it to HTC to get it repaired as other companies will not touch it.
