Can I get some help doing a factory reset for my LG G3?

factory reset for LG G3

I am planning a factory reset of my LG G3 Lollipop 5.0.After upgrading fro KitKat 4.4 I have lost my Gmail somewhere.I have spent ages to get it going but no success,I am getting into Gmail through the Brouser.But I like the original Gmail app.The last resort is to hard factory reset and I am hoping it would solve the problem.Could anyone walk me over the procedure?Do I have to pull both the SIM and the SD cards before starting?If not would the reset wipe them?All else is working just fine and I would hate to get into other problems to get the Gmail fixed!

The SIM are definitely won't get wiped. I wouldn't think the SD card would either, but I've never actually used one in a phone.

I usually just upload anything I want saved onto Drive or Dropbox and wipe it.

It's not that difficult. You just go to Settings, Factory Reset and hit the button. After that it's all automated.
