Bluetooth Recognition Problem

I've just upgraded to the Samsung Galaxy s6 from the s4. I can easily pair to my car bluetooth but it won't recognize it the next time I get in the car. I have to put the pairing code in each time. With my s4 I only paired it once and it recognized it each time I got in the car. I've gone back to the Samsung store where I purchased my phone and they can't figure it out either. Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions? Or is it just not possible with this phone?

Re: Bluetooth Recognition Problem

It may be the S6, it may be your S6 or it may be the car. Ask them if they have an S6 they can pair to your car, let you turn the car off, then start the car and see if it's still paired. If it works, your phone is defective (and they should give you the one that works).

If not, go to the car dealer and see if they have service updates for the car audio system. There have been changes to the Bluetooth spec between the S4 and the S6, and your car may not be handling them right.
