Can I get some help with a Facebook update?

Facebook update help

Hi just updated my facebook app & now have an annoying panel on the right with birthdays, news, trending etc. Can't seem to get rid of it or uninstall the update. Any ideas?

Can you post a picture of the panel? I'm not seeing it on mine (app updated last night). Is there an option on the App Settings, maybe? Sometimes Facebook rolls out test features to certain users, like that persistent notification bar thing that it later scrapped.

mmm... not seeing that on mine but I'm not on tablet. I'll check tonight when I get home. Does it go away if you go into portrait mode?

Yes it's only in Landscape mode, goes when in Portrait.

I tried it on tablet and nope, I don't have it there either. So weird :S Isn't there an option in your Settings somewhere?
