Hello, problems with Google Play Music.

Hi,
I'm using Nexus 5 and recently transfered few songs from my Laptop to my device.
the problem(s) I'm facing with GPM is that there are 6 options in total on it, namely; "Listen Now", "My Library", "Playlists", "Settings", "Help", "Send Feedback." The other options seem to be missing.
Secondly, one weird problem I've noticed is that the songs that just have the letter "A" as the first word (like "A Thousand Years" or "A place for my head") seem to be missing from under the Songs tab whereas other one's like "All of me" or "Apologise" are there. I can find the mising one's when I search the app or in the Artist, Album or Genre sections/tabs but only missing from the Songs tab.weird but I don't know how to get them to the songs tab.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance :)

Re: Hello, problems with Google Play Music.

Welcome to Android Central! What other options are you looking for that seem to be missing? Are you referring to the "Downloaded Only" switch?

Are the songs that start with the article "A" completely absent, or are they sorted under the letter of the first non-article word? So for example, is "A Thousand Years" listed under T?

Re: Hello, problems with Google Play Music.

Thank you for your reply.
Yes, the "Downloaded only" switch is missing and I've read in a few articles that there is a "Refresh" option too? Can't find that either.
And I rechecked, yes the songs starting with "A" are listen under the first non-article word. And also the songs starting with "The". Thank you so much for that, thought it's kind of weird.

Re: Hello, problems with Google Play Music.

Try this: Go into Settings>Apps>scroll down to Play Music. Click on it, then click clear cache. Reboot the phone (turn it off wait a minute then turn it back on), see if that helps.

Re: Hello, problems with Google Play Music.

Tried it, still no change. Can you send me a screenshot of how it should actually be? As in, including the refresh option and the other ones too?

I do a cache wipe once per month.

Re: Hello, problems with Google Play Music.

But I'm still confused; it's a new phone. What would cause such an issue?

Re: Hello, problems with Google Play Music.

Brand new from Google Play, or possibly refurbished or used from a reseller?
