Can I get some help with my Kyrocera Hydro Vibe mms issues?

Kyrocera Hydro Vibe mms issues

I recently received this phone because my HTC Evo 3D finally gave out. Since I've had this phone I cannot send or receive mms messages and all emoticons that I send show up as question marks to the receiver. All forums I've come across have mentioned these issues with this phone, but no method on fixing it. Is this something that can be fixed or am I just at a loss on this?

Unfortunately, there are a few phones that just won't work with many emojis.
Have you talked to your carrier to see if they can help you?

Haven't contacted carrier as of yet. The emojis I'm not too worried about, but not being able to send/receive picture messages is a bummer. Also it won't sync with my FB account or send longer than the average 160 characters as 1 text. They come across as broken up to the receiver. I do have the setting checked to where it should send long texts as a mms (sorry I don't remember the correct terminology.)
