Can I go back to 1.5?

My Eris with the original 1.5 worked beautifully with the bluetooth in my car. After the 2.1 update, it does not work at all. I would rather have the bluetooth work than have the improvements in 2.1. So, I want to go back to 1.5.

Both Verizon and HTC have told me that I'm out of luck. However, I remember that there was a hack that allowed users to get the January minor upgrade before the OTA was ready. Is there any chance I could use that to go back to 1.5? If so, does anyone have a link to it? I have not been able to find it.

Never mind

After some more looking, I found the answer I was after. I did the hack ROM v3 update so I have the 1.49 bootloader and therefore cannot go back. The sad thing is I did the upgrade 3 days before the OTA update started.

If you have a degree in computer programming you can try the root method over at xda developers. It's kind of complicated but you might get lucky.
