I want to group my contacts so I can send group emails

Welcome to Android Central! The Gmail app unfortunately doesn't have the ability to send group emails, which has been a longstanding deficiency. I use Group Share for Gmail, which works well. If you don't see your Google contact groups, go to the app's settings and check on the Hidden Groups and System Groups.
