Can I install ClockworkMod Recovery using SGS Kernel Flasher?

From what I understand, most kernels come with ClockworkMod pre-installed. According to this guide, you have to use Heimdall Suite to install Hardcore's Speedmod kernel. Would it be possible to just flash the kernel using SGS Kernel Flasher instead of going through all of the hassle of Heimdall? Thanks

If I remember right, SGS kernel flasher requires CWM. I'm not sure how else it could install a kernel from a booted phone.

I've used sgs kernel flasher without cwm. I flashed a kernel that gave me OC privilege and also added a custom recovery after. So idk how it works, but I didn't have cwm
