Can I jump from 4.2 to 4.4?

I've had my Nexus 4 about a month now, and have been avoiding the 4.3 update which my phone says is downloaded and ready to install because I figured I'd just wait for 4.4. There had been numerous complaints about issues with 4.3 on the Nexus 4, and being an Android newb, I didn't want to start my experience with endless reboots.

Now that the OTA release is rolling out for the Nexus 4, will my phone automatically download it and notify me, or will I need to first install 4.3 and then wait for the 4.4 update to be pushed.

u need to install 4.3 and then 4.4.

millions of people have updated to 4.3... problem usually happenes when someone has rooted or modded the OS..

since u haven't done all that. it should be fine. as soon as u update to 4.3, 4.4 will be waiting for u

Thanks. Update to 4.3 went smoothly. However, it's not yet my device's turn for 4.4 :'( so I must wait a day or two, or three or...
