Can I just pull out my sim and sd card from my frozen phone safely for reinstallation in my new one?

My old phone is basically knackered (i think!) and i'm worried about data loss if i just go ahead and yank my cards with no way to demount etc.

Just make sure your old phone is off and if possible take out the battery.

Removing the micro SD card without dismounting it first is not going to hurt it (done it many many times).

SIM Card as well shouldn't be a problem.
