I have a free Obama phone and I hope there's no replies to this that are demeaning in any way. I can't afford a cell phone so I am grateful to have this...JS. OK so it's an ANS phone model UL40 Android version 7.1.1. I'm wondering if there is a way for me to uninstall or disable apps I never use to free up some space. My storage is limited and I know I have a Google phone but I don't use most of the internal storage apps and or the built in factory Android apps. I'm just wondering if I can get rid of the ones I'll never use and what's safe and what isn't. I'd never even use the Google maps cuz the 1 time I did it got me lost and I followed every direction to a Tee. I've read a few threads but I wanna ask for myself because me phone skills are not in any way even at the beginner level, I'm more at the newborn stage. As always thank you guys for being here.

So, in order to uninstall most apps, long press on the app icon of any app on your start screen, then drag it up to the top of your screen to a little trashcan. Once there, lift your finger off of the screen and the app will be deleted. You might have to press "ok" or agree to deleting it.
Also, if you go into settings, you can access your installed apps by clicking on "Apps". Click on a usefully particular app. Once you've done that, you'll see an option to either disable or delete. Be careful which apps you delete or disable. Some are important for the everyday functioning of your phone.
