Play game boy games or really.. any handheld games? My boss a few years back had a old droid, and he mentioned how he was able to play those old games somehow through his phone.. and before i pick which smartphone to pick.. i was wondering if i could do these things with the maxx.

really.. if i root it or mod it, whatever you call it.. what amazing things could i truly do with it? can the nexus do the same?

I haven't tried it out myself yet, but a buddy of mine knows of a way to search for a certain file online that you can download and it is basically supposed to be a game market. If I remember tomorrow I will ask him about it.

Cool thanks, yeah I know computers can run emulators/roms to play games.. but not sure if smartphones can, and if it will ruin the device. just would like to know whats available.

I don't think this would harm the device. He has had it on his Atrix for a few weeks and don't think he has had any issues. He also claims you can find about any game no matter what device it was made for.

You enjoying your maxx, personally?

sure its beautiful and the hardware design is solid and sharp.. but does it get a little dull with lack of things to do with it?

Yeah I'm enjoying it. I was still liking my Tbolt and actually still miss a few things about sense. The 2 things that ultimately lead to me upgrading was the battery and the fact that my wife already had the razr and lapdock. I don't think the lapdock will ever fully replace a laptop, but it comes in handy. I travel for work and my company kind of frowns on using their laptop for "personal" use so the lapdock is nice to carry with me because sometimes you need something bigger than your phone screen. Also the lapdock 100 is thin and light enough you can carry it in the same bag and not break your back.

So overall I do miss my Tbolt a little, but not enough to give up this massive battery lol.

Well I just talked to my buddy and if you google emulator roms app the first page on the list will be slideme. Go to that site and download the apk which is basically a game market. I'm downloading myself right now.
