Can I play WMA (Windows Media Audio) on the EVO?

Ok, so I subscribe to an online library that downloads "protected" WMA files through OVERDRIVE (PC and Android app) for audiobooks. I love it. And it works great for mp3 files. I can send the mp3s to the phone and play them without issue.

The problem is that the official OVERDRIVE app sucks and won't play WMA files which is about 90% of what the online library carries. So I have access to tons of books I can't listen to. I can find the files on my computer and move them to the EVO, but I can't then play them. I have been using the stock player, Mortplayer and MixZing, but I'm not having luck with any of them. Mort can find them but not play them. Mix and stock can't find the files as they are just sitting in a folder.

Any ideas on this one?

Thanks.

You can try audiobook player. market://search?q=pname:com.frma.audioBookPlayer I honestly don't know if it will work or not. I found it after uninstalling overdrive but don't have existing wmvs. If this does not help maybe you could look for a music player that plays wmv and create a playlist with your book. If you are stuck due to the drm take a look at AVS4you.com on your computer. Pretty sure they have an audio conversion tool that will allow you to make a drm free copy of an audio file for the purpose of 'legal backup'. Kind of a hassle but if you have a bunch of money already invested in the format it might be worth it.....
