Android Chrome Bookmarks - I don't like it

Nexus 5, unrooted with Lollipop 5.1
Google Chrome 41.0.2272.94

Recently Chrome app BM can be opened in a new tab (Fig 1)within Chrome and display all BM in list view, User could open a bookmark link in the same tab or in a new tab easily by selecting the option.

I don"t know why and when (may be after version update) the BM is opened separately and can't be kept open. BM is displayed in icon view which is quite difficult to select if you have so many BMs(Fig 2) Furthermore user cannot open a BM link in a new tab as before if you want you have to open a new tab first then open BM and select the link.

Is there a way (or settings) so that BM can be displayed in list view and BM link can be opened in a new tab simply by selecting the "open in new tab" option?

I may miss something, please enlighten me !! Thank you very much !!

I too have a N5 unrooted, with Chrome v. 41.02272.94. My screen doesn't look like yours. I'll post a screenshot in a minute.

losl, even ignoring the bookmark issue, your browser looks nothing like the stock Chrome browser.

the regular Chrome browser has no reload button on a toolbar.
the regular Chrome browser has no back/forwards button on a toolbar.
etc.

Are you running some desktop version of chrome on your device?!

hi,

You are 100% correct !!
The first screen shot was taken from my N7(2012) tablet. because the tab for BMs no more exist on my N5 as before. In order to show the differences I capture it from my N7. For N5 the Backward, forward & reload buttons are on the menu(3dots) popup.

you really have SHARP eyes!

Any idea for the BM problem? Thank you!
