Android Central Question

Need help please non wire less printer from galaxy note 8

have you tried connecting it using the usb adapter that came with the Note?

Yes you can... get USB C to USB OTG cable and plug your printer in... start Samsung's print app and it'll get you connected, downloaded, etc. Unless you have an older printer, you should be good to go.
Good Luck

Oh so Samsung works. What about other brands? Do you know?

chanchan05 to what are you referring? Software, hardware, brand?
If you're referring to phone, I've only explored printing with Samsung phones.
Peace

You said a Samsung printer will work through USB adapters. But what about say a Brother or HP Printer? I have an old spare Brother printer here that I can repurpose for phone/tablet use in the living room. It's pretty old though. 2012 I think.

Ah... no I was referring to phone brand. Printer brand... depends. I've used epson, hp....
Good luck.

Can you join the network the printer is on? Is the printer on a network?

If so, you can print to it. The app Printer-Share is great for printing to a networked printer.

thank you for posting this. I had no idea. there have been a hundred times that I wanted to print and thought it would be impossible.

the phone comes with a USB C to A adapter. use that. that is what I use on my HP printer without problems.

I print to my HP printer, it's hardwired on the home network and I have to be on the same network with wifi, also had to download the HP printer app.

way around is to use print through google print cloud to your wired printer.

Connect printer to desktop.
Can use Ethernet or usb.
And there are adapters - your phone can connect to Ethernet.
Setting More Connection Settings - which us where Printing and Ethernet are.
Might plug printer into router if it supports USB?
