Can I remove these apps

I was wondering if I could remove these apps and not have problems with using my phone

Car Home
DSP Manager
Theme Chooser

they are baked into CM7. all three are either core functions of Gingerbread OS or Cyanogenmod. removing them WOULD have adverse affects.

car home could probably be removed, but it doesnt harm anyone and there are times it comes in handy (in a freakin car, anyone?) ahaha

DSP manager is the app for controlling the new audio functions of Gingerbread. even if the dsp features arent activated it might help with audio. that includes all audio the phone can produce, period. better off keeping it.

Theme Chooser is the chooser app of the Tmobile Theme engine built into cyanogenmod. i would highly recommend NOT removing this, as even the stock theme has to be applied with it, you have a chance of rendering your phone unusable and having to re flash the rom.


on a side note, the apps you want to remove are the exact reasons i LOVE cyanogenmod, and my biggest reasons for putting it on my OV and upgrading from Froyo

I've removed car home and DSP manager and have not had any problems.

They can all be removed with nothing bad happening. I use the Cyanbread theme and it doesn't even mess with it when u remove "Theme Chooser". Watskyhotsky again making stabs in the dark.

I remove all of the above after every flash and have no problems. Most of CM's features are in the CMparts.apk. Here's other stuff I remove too:

I have Quickpic already installed to replace gallery3d, and zeam launcher installed already so removing adw launcher is ok.
