Hi-
I got my elderly mom a chorded phone connected to Xlink which pairs with a cellphone via Bluetooth.
That way she can use an old style phone to make cell calls.

It appears that the cellphone can loose it's Bluetooth connection and the phone needs to be accessed to restart Bluetooth.
This may be too much for someone with dementia.

My question is, is there a way I can remotely restart her Bluetooth and allow me to manage the cell phone from my PC?
If not is there a way to create a push button widget/script to allow her to restart Bluetooth?

I do not live in her area and there is no one around who can help.
Thanks.
Ken

Welcome to Android Central! I don't think that's possible. There might be software to remotely control a phone, but I would think that's primarily on the enterprise level, not for consumers (and rightly so -- think of the potential security risks involved).

If she's unable to swipe down, tap the Bluetooth quick settings button, then toggle the BT switch off and on again, then you could consider installing something like Tasker or Macrodroid and create a routine for that.

Thank you for the reply.
Honestly I don't know if she has the dexterity to use a touch screen.
I will look at Macrodroid. Perhaps there would be a way to activate the macro remotely or at the touch of a button on the screen.
