Can I return my EVO if i rooted it?

Not giving up on EVO I love it. But I have two lines and I didnt send in the 100 dollar rebate on the EVO I got, and i see the rebate expired on the 19th so i cant send it in. Best option it to return EVO within 30 days and get it for 200 bucks on other line.

Will there be any issues me rooting evo?

Technically you shouldn't be able to, as they claim rooting voids your warranty. However if you look in the hacks/roms section, i just finished unrooting successfully.

How did you root yours? I did the unrevoked way which I think is pretty simple to unroot.

I am returning mine next week and my phone was dropped twice and they said they will still take it back. I don't think they are checking in to things too much

it doesn't get any easier than this. I re-rooted my phone and restored my nandroid in like 30 minutes total using this. and didnt type in a single command

Yeah but if they don't and he goes past 30 days then he's stuck.

Did the first part of the idiot guide. started doing the part two with the NAND thingy but gave up in the beginning

ah, would save me a lot of headaches. But it clearly says 19th on paper i downloaded from Sprint and till they decline it which i thought they would the 30 days would pass

I say the same thing and asked the corp sprint rep in store he said no problem they know about that on the rebate form, just call customer service and ask for the rebate dept. and talk to them.

My rebate form says its valid for phones purchased between 6/3 and 7/10 and must be postmarked by 7/24. Ask Sprint to send you an updated form.

i don't knwo what paper you have but in the terms and conditions the phone have to be activated more than 30 days for you to qualify for the rebate. here is the rebate form you can download and send. http://shop.sprint.com/assets/pdfs/en/promotions/mir_071010.pdf

if only everything was that simple, it took me over an hour to get it to work correctly. Smooth sailing after that though.

thanks, will do that if i return. Will look into if rebate is still active, 100 bucks is still 100 bucks wont just throw it away.
