Can I simulate double-tapping the recents button when using gesture navigation?

I thought I read it somewhere, but I have not been able to track it down.

I use gestures and am not able to do that. Maybe someone else knows how.

You have to leave gesture hints on. Then a quick swipe from the Home hint to the right does the same as the double tap of the Recents key. if you hold the Home hint and slide slowly to the right it will page through your recent pages.

Hoping a future update allows the same functionality without having to show the hints.

Oh ... as an aside ... in Settings/Advance Features there's a new toggle called Reduce Animations. I found toggling this on keeps the Recents pages easier to control. swiping the pages moves them one at a time instead of sweeping Apple style through a bunch of pages til it slows down. This gives me better control with holding the Home hint and sliding to the right.

I'm afraid this is only partially correct.

The first time you swipe right from the home key, it will take you to the last app, but each subsequent swipe will take you to the next previous app, so-to-speak. Double-tapping the recents button was like Alt-tab in Windows. Doing it repeatedly would bounce you back-and-forth between two apps.
