can I take smaller file size pictures with my DROID MAXX 32GB

My photos are way to big file size wise. Is there a way to reduce file size when taking a photo.

Only by switching widescreen (10MP) to standard (7.8MP)

Does this app also work for videos? I can't send any videos I take because the files are too huge.

If you mean for sending videos as MMS, if you install the app Google Messenger from the Play Store and attach a video to a message, the app will resize the video to the right size for you. I believe that Textra does the same.
