Can I tell the Mobile Data screen to NOT monitor certain apps?

So, T-Mobile allows you to have unlimited data for certain apps. But when I look at my Mobile Data usage in the System Settings, it's all there. This makes total sense, but is there a way to tell Android to filter out apps of my choosing?

Sounds like the data usage app is including all your free data apps in the total-used count, correct?

You can check the option inside that usage app, but probably there is no such filtering.

A firewall app will give you control over how individual apps and background processes get online access. You can selectively block/allow each one for WiFi and for cellular connectivity.
If you're rooted take a look at AFWall+

If not, NetGuard is a really good non-root option

Sorry, not what I meant at all. I WANT everything to have access. It's just that T-Mobile doesn't count certain apps usage against me, and Android (as a default rule) counts EVERYTHING.

I don't think theres a way to do that... select specific apps to stop monitoring. I am only on Verizon-Marshmallow though. The OS will monitor everything.
