Hi. I'm new here. I'm looking at buying the samsung tab s 10.5 to replace my 4-year old MacBook Pro that is near the end of it's life and wont' work unless it is plugged in. I'm getting a work computer with my job and don't see the need to buy a $1200+ new MacBook. I'm interested in the Samsung Tab S 10.5, especially for use when I'm doing some traveling coming up.

I wanted to know if it was possible to transfer photos from my camera's micro sd directly to the Samsung Tab S's micro sd card that i'm putting in it through USB OTG? Is this possible? Or would I first have to transfer the photo the internal memory of the tablet and then transfer to the tablet's micro sd?

Thanks in advance.

You can use an app like Total Commander in dual window mode (put the tab in landscape position) and copy the files directly from the card in the OTG cable (the camera card) to the external SD card (the phone's microSD card). Don't move - copy. Then, if a copying operation goes bad, you still have the original.

Thanks I appreciate it. That was going to be the deal breaker but since it works, I definitely am going to purchase the tablet. Are you able to use a photo organizer within the micro sd in the tablet like you normally would with internal memory to sort photos?

Now just to decide on a keyboard. Logitech vs. Samsung. I like the case-like aspect of the logitech but the samsung seems like better build quality

Actually, when I plugged my Canon S95 into the usb-to-go cable and into my Tab S 10.5, an app or choice of apps was presented to copy/move photos to the Tab. Pretty simple.
