(Posted this in the wrong thread initially, all apologies!)

This app has turned into a behemoth on my phone! Deleted Carousel, which I thought was going to be like Google's Music Mgr, a small PC app to transfer files to the cloud. But nooooo! Every time I take a photo Dropbox eats up more space. I'm pretty sure if I connect my phone to my computer it'll sync up any photos w Dropbox there, so can I uninstall it without losing any photos already backed up?

Dropbox is a well tried and true app. It's unusual to hear complaints about it.

It's not clear exactly what your problem is. It only syncs to the phone what it's configured to. So likely you just have a simple configuration problem. If you give more information on what you want vs what Dropbox is doing someone here can probably hyep out.

If you want to uninstall, do it this way:
Settings > Apps > Dropbox > Force stop > Clear cache > Clear data > Uninstall

Make sure you have local copies of everything in Dropbox before uninstalling. I think anything in Dropbox remains available for a few days in case you miss anything.

Android since v1.0. Linux user since 2001.

My dropbox has now attempted to sync everything from the cloud onto my phone. So it has synced 20GB of data, when I had not wanted anything to sync, only photos. I'm scared to delete anything as I assume it will delete it off the cloud, But my phone is jammed full!?! I can't find where to select sync folders, as I can do so on my PC. where on Samsung S5 can you specify which folders you want to sync?
