Android Central Question

Hi. I have an LG G7 ThinQ (G710TM), which is locked to T-Mobile. Unfortunately, I have no clue who the original owner was, as I bought the phone refurbished, so my chances of unlocking the device are close to nothing. However, if I signed up for T-Mobile service under the phone's IMEI, used it for a couple of weeks, then request an unlock, would customer support be able to unlock my phone, even if I'm not the original owner? The phone is in good standing and is not blacklisted, according to T-Mobile's IMEI checker.
And if that doesn't work, are there any MVNOs that work with T-Mobile locked phones? Thanks.

Looks like it needs to be active for 40 days on a post-paid (traditional) plan, on pre-paid plans that minimum is 1 year.

Here is all the info you could want or need for getting a device unlocked by T-Mobile - https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-1588
