My girlfriend has a galaxy tab 7" model running 2.2 and we would very much like to upgrade it to 2.3. I am familiar with Android hacking (with an LG Optimus V) but am less familiar with the Tab and the Samsung ecosystem.
We have installed Kies which reports that we currently have the latest firmware. The device Firmwares are PDA: P1000XWJMK, PHONE: P1000XXJMA, CSC: P1000PROJM1. The tab comes from Belgacom / Proximus from Belgium.
Can it be upgraded to an official 2.3? If so, can someone point me to where to find it for this device or how to do it? Or is my only option a custom rom like CyanogenMod?
Thanks.
