Title says it all. If I get the LTE version can it be used as a phone? I have a Note 2 and am wanting something bigger. MUCH bigger. This looks like a god size. I've read a few conflicting comments around the internet about it. Some say it can and some say it can't.

The LTE version does phone calls, and the internet capability seems to be on about a par with other Android devices. You'll have to install a browser (like Dolphin or Firefox) that supports Flash and install (not just download, but run to install) Flash Player version 11.1 if you want to see Flash videos on sites that don't support mobile non-Flash browsers.

I see. But I'm curious about how it "does phone calls". I believe Samsung has said that 7" is the upper limit of a phone. So you're saying it has a dialer like a regular phone? Could you please give some more details? I'm assuming tat all the details about flash and so on are the same as they are on ALL Android devices. Of which I have a few and am not particularly a stranger to.

It's an old thread but in case you didn't find out already, it does have a dialler and sms. The sim I have in mine is data only but it should be possible to put in a voice sim and make calls. It's not easy to hold in one hand though and battery life with the screen on is not as good as something like the Note 4. Check that it covers the bands that your carrier uses.
