Can Live Wallpaper be disabled?

Hi All,

I have been looking at various video demos for some of the Droid ROMS out there and all of the ones I have sen have animated backgrounds with "blips" moving left right and up down. I am assuming this is the "Live Wallpaper" feature that is present on the Nexus One. Can this feature be turned off? Personally it makes me dizzy. Thanks.

Yup. The live wallpapers are just another option, like the wallpaper options we currently have.
There are also other live wallpaper options that are much more subtle, like a galaxy that slowly rotates in the background, or grass that slowly sways back and forth.

if you go with a 2.1 based rom you can load google maps as a live wallpaper.

I agree with you on the nexus one backround though, it's very distracting while you are using the phone.
