can my note 5 get a virus in the battery

A

AC Question

I got a message that my battery has 2 viruses and that I needed to click on the button below to fix it. when I tried to get out of it I could not without clicking the button that was suppose to fix it. the button only installed software on my phone and I did not see a prompt to get rid of or fix the virus that was supposedly on my battery.

You need a CPU to run a virus - the battery has none. You need ROM or a hard drive to store a virus. The battery has neither. So no. (Anyone making a claim like that is taking advantage of fear and ignorance. also called FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt).
