Can samsung s4, model SCH-1545 be rooted

Want to root Samsung s4 model SCH-1545. can I root it without been caught by the carrier? or must I buy 2nd. open cellphone and root it for more data so that I don't get caught.

If you have upgraded to Android 5 it is difficult to root. If you are still running 4.4 version check on Cyanogen.mod for the rooting info. This usually voids the warranty and you may not be able to install future upgrades.
