can not get downloaded song on my phone into my ringtones

I have a downloaded song on my phone already from Google Play but can not get it into my ringtone list? how do I do that please?

First of, you need to download that on a computer as you need the file to be an MP3 file. Music downloaded on the mobile app is encrypted and linked to a single device and can only be opened by the Play Music app in that device.

Once you have the MP3 file, just move that to the Ringtones folder.
