Can not swype keyboard in bottom right hand corner

Hello, thanks for reading my sad story.

I've had this lovely phone for about 5 weeks, and yesterday ran into a problem that is starting to get crazy. I can not swype on any keyboard in the lower right hand corner. I can use it to write wrods like " "write", but if I would use it to write something like the word "like", the trace from "L" to "I" fails. It is the strangest thing. If I flip the phone and use landscape, the same thing happens around the "A" "s" area.

Is it possible for the swyping to die on certain pixels? the typing by pressing each key works fine.

I have deleted some recent apps, restarted, still not seeing any change.

Any advice? :'(

Welcome to Android Central! Which keyboard are you using, the stock one? Try an alternate one, like Google Keyboard or Swiftkey, which you can install from the Google Play Store.

Thanks for the welcome! The issue is actually a screen swiping issue - its not even the typing!

I turned on the touch tracker in developer tools. you can see the dot move all around the screen, but it jumps in that space and won't scroll cleanly there. Any thoughts?

Sounds like it might be a digitizer problem. Might be worth contacting Samsung support and asking them about a repair.
