Can only edit first section of a regular post.

Happened also a few weeks ago.

Posted a regular post with Tapatalk. Tried to correct in edit mode, I always do!
On Tapatalk, and the Android Central app, the first 3 lines only appear. On the desktop site the edit box becomes blank.

More for your entertainment and delectation. I am not complaining.

(I know you cannot edit posts in areas like Ambassadors guides etc.)

Could it be because it was originally posted from Tapatalk?
Maybe it will help with other issues.

@Madd54 - Interesting. To be sure I've got this right, in the AC app and TT app, only the first three or four lines appear when you go to edit a post... on the full desktop site, the full contents of the post don't appear at all... correct?

FWIW - just tested the desktop site, and had no problems... it did take a few seconds to load (and looked blank before it loaded)... but after hitting 'edit', it worked as it should...

Could you try again (on full desktop site) and let me know if the full text appears as it should if you let it sit for a minute? (might be a slow load thing)

Hi James.

Your first post was correct.

Long story short - the desktop site is now editing correctly, but the two apps still do this on that post.

I figured it out that any post that has a 'less than' symbol followed by a hyphen (or maybe just the 'less than' symbol) - will remove the remainder of the post in edit mode on the apps.

I don't know why the desktop site first had an empty edit box and now it's editing normally.

I would be curious if anyone can explain why.

That IS super strange. I'll notify our tech team to check it out... we will test and see if there's anything we can do in our apps. Thanks!
