Would you if u are game do a youtube search for quadrant test for the galaxy nexus and then the droid razr.
Look at the part of that test where the planet is spinning, and tell me if the Razr looks smoother than the Galaxy Nexus. To me the Razr looks smoother. If that is the case I will go with the Razr.

Thanks

I just ran Quadrant on my RAZR....and you're right compared to this clip:

Samsung Galaxy Nexus: Quadrant Benchmark - YouTube

I'm gonna have to chalk this up to some kind of issue. I mean the gpu in the Nexus is clocked a lil higher..

For those that even care...lol, I average 2400-2600 on Quadrant runs. Almost hit 2700 once.

Thanks; I ran and bought the Tbolt when it came out. I did the quadrant on it and compared to my X at the time it ws extremely choppy. To me the gpu performance is very important

Somebody made a good point about the I/O part of the test in the comments. Mr RAZR goes thru that test faster...it just completes the entire Quadrant test faster. I even started the test on my phone about 2-3 seconds later and it still passed it.

Hope thats an isolated issue....or its the Galaxy S 1 all over again...the GS1 needed root and a lag fix just to be on par with the Droid X out the box. I/O issues caused the GS1 to lag.

Well it could be that the cpu is to fast for the gpu. The Nexus looks snappy in everyday real world usage. Its just going to be a deciding factor. Along with call reception. I dont want to buy a phone on asthetics alone

Well yea....that Exynos chip...lol. Its gonna be a benchmark king for phones along with the iPhone 4S for awhile, probably until newer chips come out. Something is still up with the I/O parts of the tests. The RAZR still finishes it before everyone.

Ppl say the GS2 doesnt lag....but the I/O issues caused the GS1 to lag. Like we say tho...real world results, use is all that matters. I didnt even run Quadrant on my RAZR until seeing this post.

Real world is definitely what matters. When I had the Razr putting launcher pro on it that thing flew.

seriously folks, dual core 1+ ghz processors, gig of ram...this is a phone...I think we have reached the point where any normal user will not notice a difference in the speed of any phone. tablets now...I cant wait for a quad core cpu for my xoom

Keep in mind the GN in the video is a test mule and the video was post back on Oct 19th, no way this is the final product so to compare it is just a waste of time.

I do know that the Razr plays Dungeon Defenders perfectly. Smoooooth. Can't ask for more than that.

This is really a tough choice. When I had the Razr it wowed me. Even on TV and seeing the pics online. The Gnexus when I look at it doesnt have the same effect. I know that they will probably make a lot of changes to the internals. My DC the call signal will go in and out while Im on the phone bt issues. Last but not least now my Gal Tab started to flake the 10.1.
Also when I put launcher pro on it. Man it flew. The screen in direct sunlight stellar. I know from experience motorolas are tanks
