Can some one help me for Action Memo and Security Problem in my note 3 SM N900

I have Note 3 SM N900, It has a problem to use Action Memo, I tap on it but nothing come up to type.And One more is security,i set up with the pattern but it doesn't ask any security to unlock when i switch on the screen ,,Can some one help me for my problem..thanks
