Let me start off by saying I did buy the Razr. Nice phone but I will probably be bringing it back today or Sat and wait for the Nexus. Btw the Razr is a good phone.

Here is my question. I will be going back to my Droid Charge. It is an ok phone. But here are my issues with it. Sometimes in my place the call reception isnt that good. It will drop calls, and there is an issue with the bluetooth. Sometimes I will make a call then have to call back in order for my bt to kick in. My g/f has a Charge with the same issues.

My question is this; if anyone can answer. Will the Nexus have a different radio than the Charge. Or will it be the same?

Thanks

To quote milan03 in another post, "Well looking back at the Droid Charge, Samsung used their own in house CMC220 LTE baseband and not Qualcomm's MDM9600. To go one step further, Droid Charge didnt even use Qualcomm chipset to handle 1X/EVDO. It used VIA Telecom?s CPB7.1 baseband, which is rather odd choice, but it worked just fine."

i haven't read anywhere about what LTE chipset the Galaxy Nexus is actually using. but i have a feeling it's different from the droid charge. plus, if there are any problems with the radio in the galaxy nexus, the radio can always be updated (on a rooted phone, and by flashing a new radio) or as part of an OTA (over the air) update.

also, just wanted to add that I haven't had the problems you mentioned related to call reception and bluetooth on my droid charge.

bluetooth is always automatic for me. for example, any time i step in my car, my phone and the car will instantly and automatically sync through bluetooth. and i can make calls immediately.

then again, i am running a rooted droid charge with the latest GB build (which has a new and improved radio) and a gummy charged ROM.

Make sure you upgrade your radio software as that plays a key role in reception. You shouldn't have to worry too much about it with the nexus though
