can someone point me to rooting instructions for my moto x

just purchased an unlocked Motorola Moto X XT1058. I would be grateful if someone could point me in the direction of a good detailed set of instructions on how to root it? I'll have my phone between september 6th and the 13th and I'll want to root it before I take it in to my network to get it hooked up. Thanks

The AT&T model, which is the one you have, cannot be rooted, since the bootloader cannot be unlocked.

well ain't that some ****. I couldn't root my XT1056 either cause of a locked bootloader. ok thanks for the info

Yeah, I have the XT1058 (AT&T model), which is now a backup device, so I checked into rooting and found out it's not possible.
