Can someone who has seen the US metallic blue please comment?

I was certian that I was going to get the pebble/metallic blue S3, but after reading some comments about the "barney blue" button I am a bit concerned.

I woud like to know if the color on the phone matches the button or is the button a different color/shade from the phone?

Every single picture anyone has seen has a different shade button. As far as I know.

I don't actually mind that much, but it could tip me in favour of the white one. Anyone have good pictures of it?

just read on the NY launch thread from someone who went to the launch say the button is a different color than the front of the phone by design. The button matches the color of the back of the phone.

I just assumed the button is slightly off color because the material it was applied to on the button isn't the same as the front with the glass and when the light hits it, it is more noticeable. I still picked blue because it's less likely to show wear, dirt or reflect the flash. :shrug;

Taken from my observation at the Toronto launch event last night:

"3) The blue home button colour matches the blue colour on the back of the phone. It does not, however, match the darker colour surrounding the home button and it's not supposed to. Yes, it looks off, but according to the Samsung reps, it's supposed to be the same as the back."

It looks like it matches to me, may look a little off because of it not being covered in glass or the Hyperglaze.

mine came today ,its dark blue, not barney, its not exactly black, but its a pretty dark looking color

This is correct as far as mine goes. Truth is I never would have noticed. It's so subtle of a difference that it will probably be a non issue.

Same here, had to look close. Looks like actual metal, just colored. Like someone used a purple Sharpie then wiped it off. Same color as the side. Looks like definite design decision, but subtle.
