can start screen/ slide be altered?

1st time here. After I wake the phone, can the slide function to unlock the razr be altered, more specifically, can i associate another task with the slide function that is linked to the camera???

Yes. You can do this by downloading lock screen replacements from the market. One really popular lock screen replacement is widget locker by Teslacoil software.
