Can the AmEx Bluebird debit card from Walmart be use with Samsung Pay?

I thought the answer should be a definite NO, but a friend of mine just successfully added it to his iPhone(Apple Pay)... holy cow, Apple Pay takes hundreds of banks...

I've heard it can't work with Samsung. But applepay has been out a full year longer then Samsung pay. And Samsung is getting more banks and credit unions involved. Also gift cards. This link it even says Apple gift cards will be able to be added
