Can the nexus s 4g really handle overclocking?

still new at this but can the nexus s 4g really handle overclocking to 1.4 ghz with out any damages to it over a period of time.Also will this cause it to crash alot?

Like with any device OCing is kinda device dependent.
mines is tolerant up to about 1.2 to be stable. I can rock 1.44 but i get a few reboots there per day.

honestly though, i don't really notice any speed difference for day to day use. I run at 1.0 with the Matr1x kernel and it's plenty fast.

I run my Max at 1200 with no problems. The phone is so smooth I havenr had any reason to go beyond that. I ran a couple benchmarks at 1.5, but that was it

I get similar results to slacker's. I clock at 800MHz most of the time though.

Same here. Running at 800mhz is still buttery smooth and i dont even notice the difference from 1ghz

As with all devices you will have to watch your phone temperature while over clocking. Other than that as long as your phone doesnt freeze up, crash etc., OC'ing is 95% safe
