Can The Note 3 Be Used With One Hand?

i'm still trying to decide if the note is too big for me. i've only had 2 smartphones, a droid x and my current phone, the original razr maxx (both with otterbox defenders). but i'm ready for a bigger screen. i guess i have average sized hands. when typing, i always use 2 hands. this is one area i think i would enjoy the bigger screen of the note. but how easy is it to hold the phone with one hand while also navigating through apps or web pages? i dont know if i will go with a otterbox defender style case, since this phone is already so big. but it will definitely have a protective case of some sort. i know the phone has a tiny screen mode, but i'm curious about the fullscreen.

Yes. The Note 3 can be used with one hand

I have probably average hands for a guy and I can use it one handed. Only the menu button is tough (I'm right handed). Mine is un-cased though, but I'm not sure how much difference it makes.

I went to a Verizon store today and played with the note 2. I'm still undecided. It definitely feels huge. But as I said, I'm using an original razr maxx. Which is pretty small by today's standards. I was able to grip it and reach across most of the screen with one hand. I'm not sure if I'll be able to after a case. And i wasn't able to try the pocket test. The s4 felt almost perfect in my hand, but I think I would enjoy the bigger screen on the note

I'm 5'8" and about 155lbs, I'd say my hands are normal for a guy my size and I have no problems. I lost the use of my right arm while in the military so I really do use the phone 1 handed. A few things can be a little awkward but the Note really is setup to make one handed use much easier overall then you would expect for a phone it's size. In fact I had few more problems using the S4 1 handed then the Note 3.

I am 6"3 and can easily palm a basketball but im contemplating selling my S4 and getting a Note3. I'm worried the phone will be to big and will be hard to pocket, my S4 is already quite large in the pocket with a case.

I am 5 11 medium hands using it easily with one hand, it's lighter and much sleeker than Note 2...

I'm a 5'3 115 pound female and I have no difficulty switching between one to two handed use quite naturally. I don't even think about it.

Lately I've seen majority females with the Note2/Note 3 so trust me when I say it's not going to be difficult for you! Unless you wear skinny jeans....

Now if it looks okay when you put it in your jeans? Definitely go for it no questions asked. If not...eh! Might not be the best real world phone for you. I don't know how old you are but if you still go out, party, or even hit up the occasional sports game? Your going to have to be able to pocket the thing to be comfortable. I held my Iphone wherever I went out of habit & hardly ever kept it in my purse! Different story with this guy but I LOVE IT!

How many of you have cases on your note 3 or note 2? I will definitely have a protective case on it and not sure how much harder it will make holding and pocketing. I'm thinking about an otterbox defender or UAG. I wear relaxed jeans. Not too tight and not too baggy

I've been using this case till my s view cover arrives and it is a struggle getting in and out my pocket. But without this case it's fine

I had the Note 2 for a while before going back to the S3, and now have the S4. While I haven't seen a Note 3 up close and personal, I understand it's a bit smaller and lighter than the N2. That being said, I always referred to the N2 like holding a ham sandwich up to your ear while making a call. I'm also contemplating on picking this up as well. I will say I'm not a huge fan of the Defender cases - the plastic piece they use (unless they have changed the design) is basically useless. I would always pop that piece out and use my own screen protector. I have used Spigen (SPG) cases exclusively for some time now and really like them. I also use the Glas.t Nano with the S4 and it's freaking awesome. Granted, it is a bit expensive but after using it, I won't use a "normal" screen protector again. Some people don't like them but I tend to throw the phone in the pocket and move on out.

And no, I don't work for them. Ha.

5'6 here with medium hands and yes handling with one hand is not a problem at all

I'm parked at the AT&T store now. I plan to walk out with either a Note 3 or an Optimus G Pro. One handed use for the Note 3 I thought was easy with that shrink-the-display-down gestured feature.

Dont get the G Pro. Old news, and LG is wacky

If you are intelligent enough to slightly re-position your palm orientation on your device, this is a one handed device. I've had no problem using it as a one handed device without the one handed option turned on. The only time I have to re-position my palm is to reach for the A key or the very left most column on the keyboard; and I have average hand size.
