Can the screen sensitivity be adjusted?

My android phone (LG-X220g) lost all power and all Settings. Once the battery was charged Settings were easily restored but the sensitivity of the screen has changed.
Tap, nothing, harder, nothing, even harder, nothing - until I'm about to reach for hammer!
Can the sensitivity be adjusted or restored?

Thanks - rev

>What do you mean it lost all power?
Battery drained so low all I got on the screen was some code that looked like DOS. After charging, I was able to change all my settings back but the usual tap would not produce a letter when texting. After about 20 taps I'd get a letter but if I hit the wrong one by accident, it's about 20 taps to backspace and start again. Close to impossible to use.

I found out what was happening. As long as I had the phone on charge, the keys would not easily produce the letters. Take it off charge, no problem. I don't know why.
