Can we get rid of the blue square background on the AC Forum App?

The icon would be awesome without the blue border, with it on Android it's a little out of place. I got over it when it was updated by hiding it in a folder, but now the new Nexus launcher is going to make the apps in those folders visible.

Is perfect.

Do we have any progress on this front? Or a dissenting opinion from whomever designed it?
