Can you buy a S Pen for a samsung Tab A separately?

Im thinking about getting a samsung tab A but the only ones i can buy from the store i get a great discount in are the ones with no s pen. I know there are models available with the S Pen can i buy the tablet and the s pen separately and still use them?

Welcome to the forums. You should be able to. I think Samsung's website has accessories like that. The question will be if the OS version on the non SPen tablet can recognize the SPen.

No. I have the spen version and also the 8.0 without i also have a note 4 i tried using nboth spens on the 8.0 and it will not work

The SPen cannot be used on the non SPen model. The memo app and the SPen app are very different.

Supposedly Samsung will be introducing a "universal" S Pen in the not too distant future. My understanding is that tablets will no longer come with the S Pen, but all future tablets will support S Pen functions and will be equipped with Air Command.

I wouldn't expect these pens to work on this tablet though...or any other current tablet that doesn't already have S Pen. Sounds like Samsung is mimicking Apple with their Apple Pencil.
