Hi guys is there anyway to disable the close all incognito tabs for chrome in the notification bar? It gets annoying when i accidentally click it.

First you do understand that incognito only stops sites from leaving cookies in your history and your history from saving the sites you visit, correct? Your service provider or carrier, depending on how you get online, can still see where you go, and a recent article announced that Google has been caught tracking incognito activity. Well that's my PSA for the day.

Anyway to disable this would be like disabling any notification. Cause the notification, simply opening an Incognito tab will create the notification, then press and hold the notification. There you will find options to control the notification. Turn it off, add or remove sound or see other details about the app and its notifications.

Something like a privacy browser might be a better option. I've heard Duck Duck Go is good but don't take my word for it.

Ok for some reason site was derping out and couldn't reply, quick reopening of desktop browser fixed that...
Yeah aware that incognito doesnt really do much for privacy and people can still track ya just use it from time to time.

I see you can block all notifications for it after you hold down on it which i assume would affect all of chrome as well as remove it from the notifications bar. If i decided later to re-enable it how would i go about doing that? Would i just go to settings -> Notifications and find the chrome app there?

No it should only affect that type of notification from the app. For example if you were getting friend suggestions from FB and didn't want to get friend suggestions but still wanted to get other notifications from FB, turning off a friend notification only affects friend notifications. You can always hit details which should show you a full list of notifications you can enable or disable.

But disabling that one type of notification is only for that one type...

And to enable it you would go Settings>Apps>Chrome>Notifications... This is also how you see all of the notification options for this or any app.

Thanks for that! Just one last question, in the case of your facebook example, how would you know your blocking specific notifications when your looking through the settings instead of the notifications bar? because they seem to be grouped up and in setting for facebook it only seems to have block all and not separate parts of it.

Go in and edit the setting on incognito to read.
Google Chrome.

Then I hit the home key and it takes me to Google Chrome.

All the different notifications that the app allows you to control are listed and you simply pick and choose which ones to allow. Here is a photo of the app notification page for Chrome...
