Can you disable junk apps?

So I heard you can disable bloatware now, can you uninstall it now? How do you disable/uninstall?

You can't remove it completely, but disabling does prevent it from eating up CPU. Go to Manage apps->All, select a bloatware app, and touch "Disable." Certain apps like Backup Assistant can't be disabled. But I was so glad to disable all of the VZW junkware as well as VideoSurf and other apps I never use.

Okay, the 'disable' option isn't showing up. Is Force Stop the same thing?

Titanium Backup can freeze apps as well. It stops them from loading and hides them from the app drawer. Another option.

Nope, Force Stop only temporarily stops it. Not all preinstalled apps can be disabled. To see an example of an app that can be disabled, look at VideoSurf.

On some of them you have to uninstall updates first the the disable button will show up
