Can you disable the 5G radio to increase battery life?

Is it possible to disable the 5g radios, since coverage is extremely limited, to increase battery life? I saw in certain reviews online, in the mobile settings an option to select the bands which you can connect to. Would this disable the radio and increase battery life?

You should be able to select LTE in the settings.

I watched a video recently and it had that setting in battery saver mode.

5G is the default setting under mobile networks? So we can switch off to LTE/3G/2G? That's the setting my Note 9 is on.
