Can you download and install Lollipop yourself or do you have to wait for ota?

I have a Galaxy S5 with AT&T and am tired of waiting for them to roll out the update. Do you have to wait for ota from your carrier or can you download 5.01 Lollipop and install it yourself. If you can where can you find the download.

You could install it yourself if it existed, but it doesn't yet, so you can't. Once they start rolling it out, someone will capture it (it normally deletes itself when it finishes updating) and post it - probably on XDA, then you can download the file and run it.
