Can you remove face retouching

Is it possible to remove the face retouching effect after a photo has been taken?

Welcome to Android Central! Which retouching effect are you referring to? Is this on a Pixel phone or some other brand?

If the photo was already saved, then no. If an existing image was retouched and saved as a new file, you could go back to the original if you still have it.
